Castanea dentata
This light, warm-colored is rare (since a blight epidemic which began in the early 20th century). Reclaimed from barns and houses throughout the Appalachian Mountains, from Maine to Georgia, our American Chestnut can include occasional knots, nail holes and worm holes that all add character to the wood.

Antique Mixed Distressed
Prior to the 1900's, most barns were constructed using whatever woods were available on the property. While barns reclaimed for this flooring were typically made of oak and chestnut, we occasionally include other species such beech, birch, cherry, maple and walnut, creating a harmonic blend that adds warmth and character.
